Lanzarote

Lanzarote is the fourth largest of the Canary Islands and a UNESCO biosphere reserve. It is well known for its year-round warm weather - average annual temperature of 22° degrees, beaches and volcanic landscape.

On this Geographic Tour, the students can explore an island created from fiery eruptions. They will be able to study and see some unique landscapes, extraordinary geology with over 300 volcanic cones, a valuable ecosystem recognised internationally, mountain ranges, desert and 213km of diverse coastline.

The trip is usually based on two full day excursions: discovering the North and South of the island! Where the Timanfaya National Park is the main attraction in the South with craters, volcanic cones, domes, lava flows and geothermal activity and Cueva de los Verdes (Green Caves), located in the North, is one of the longest volcanic caves in the world – 6km long lava tube – and one of the most impressive hidden wonders in the depths. Your itinerary can be complemented with a Submarine Safari, surf lesson or a camel ride!

An island that can make your students feel like they are on a different planet!
